The 7-Day Live Performance Intensive $700
There is no better learning experience for the actor than live performance. Here is a great training program developed by Jeff that gives the actor 4 live performances in a theatre, in front of an invited audience. You’ll be assigned a 2 person scene from 4-6 pages long and will be expected to be off script by your first rehearsal. You and your partner will have a one hour rehearsal with Jeff, each day for five days. On the 6th day we’ll meet early at the theater to load in our furniture and props and prep for the show. The cast will rehearse the entrances and exits for each of the scenes and coordinate the light and sound cues with the tech crew. 6pm performance. The show will come down around 7:20. Actors will have time to greet their guests and thank them for attending. Then at 7:45 we will meet to go over any quick notes to tighten up our second show of the night. 8:00pm performance. The show will come down around 9:20pm. Actors are released and will return at 5pm the next day (one hour early) for the second night of performances. You will receive any notes from the previous night’s performance at this time. The ticket price for the show will be $20. The actors will get to keep the ticket sales from all of their invitees minus the hard costs of the theatre rental, printing costs, etc. The more tickets the actors sell, the more of their tuition is recouped. Those interested in directing or producing are welcome to watch as many of the rehearsals during the rehearsal days as they wish. Cast members are welcome to join Jeff in any of the meetings regarding, the stage set up, furniture and prop choices, lighting and sound cues, the order of the scenes, etc. The cast size will be between 16 and 20 and will depend on the overall length of the scenes and show. Because of the variety of scenes and the quality of the work, the show guarantees the audience a thoroughly entertaining evening
If you are selected to be in the course, you will secure your spot with a 50% deposit.
The remaining 50% is paid on the first day of rehearsal.
